Chilham Parish Sports Centre 

Facilities

The Centre is newly built and has a beautiful 10 x 20 metre sports hall with a sprung wooden floor.  There are superb changing facilities with showers, including toilet and shower facility for people with disabilities.  Outdoors, there is a well-maintained playing field, football and cricket pitches.  There are two floodlit tennis courts. 

A meeting room for 20 people and a kitchen complement the sports facilities and are available for club meetings.

Parking is available for anyone using the Centre or grounds.

100 Club

Members of the 100 Club benefit from a 20% discount.  Application forms available from Chilham Post Office or from the Centre Manager.

Who can book

The Sports Centre exists primarily for use by the local community but can be booked by individuals, families as well as clubs from outside the parish.

It is ideal for meetings, club activities, family fun times, birthday parties with activities and entertaining youngsters on rainy days.

Equipment available

Badminton net with poles also suitable for short tennis.

We are planning to install two table tennis tables with eight bats & Basketball & Volleyball fixtures.

New activities

Whatever your own favorite leisure or sporting activity we hope that it can be provided at Chilham.

If you are interested in an activity  that is not listed and you would like to get together with other people to start a club, enjoy a session or lead a group, contact the Centre Manager on 01227 730659.

Whether your interest lies in aerobics, table tennis, volleyball, karate, 5-a-side, barefoot dancing, yoga or any other passion, the Centre will be delighted to host your group.

Directions

From Canterbury or Ashford, turn onto the A252 towards Maidstone and Chilham.  Turn left immediately (after Denmark House Residential Care home), then right at the T-junction.  Turn left into Branch Road after 200 yards.  From Maidstone, after the turning for Chilham village and Badgers Hill Farm Shop, take the next turn right, then right at the T-junction.  Turn left into Branch Road after 200 yards.  The Centre is on the left after 150 yards.
